Stymied Once Again

Mom doesn’t push one of her sister’s bras—buys a new one. She argues, but Mom
insists and at eleven she’s still just pliable enough… until Donny Melchuk
points out the bra’s outline to his idiot friends and she has to punch him and
his nose bleeds loads and Mrs Whit sends her home to think about what she’s
done and on her way she sends that stupid ass bra sailing out into the lake and
when she gets home Mom says the teacher called, but Mom must see something of
Dad in her eyes and says nothing else…
